Her Story Matters: A Personal Reflection on Women’s History Month and Our New Collection

Women’s History Month holds a deep and personal significance for me. As a woman of color, I have been fortunate to be mentored by some of the most extraordinary women—trailblazers from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and industries. These women have not only paved the way for progress but have also been my guiding lights, showing me what is possible when resilience, passion, and purpose align.

Among these incredible influences, I hold dear the wisdom and leadership of my mentor, Gwendolyn Brooks, the artistic brilliance of Annie Lee, and the many phenomenal women I had the privilege of working for in corporate America. While I have certainly had male influences who supported my journey, it was the women who allowed me to see myself through their lens. They uplifted me, encouraged me, and reinforced that my voice, my beliefs, and my talents truly matter.

Because of these women, I found the strength to build something of my own—a brand that amplifies voices and celebrates individuality. Conversation Pieces was born out of a desire to showcase personal expression, to give people a way to wear their voice boldly and unapologetically. This mission takes on even greater meaning with the launch of our new women’s collection, “Her Story Matters.”

This collection is more than apparel; it is a statement. It is a reminder that every woman’s story deserves to be told, honored, and celebrated. Just as someone once told me that I matter, that my voice matters, this collection now carries that message forward to every person who wears it. It’s an embodiment of empowerment, resilience, and the power of self-expression.

As we step into Women’s History Month, I invite you to celebrate the women who have shaped your journey. Wear your story. Speak your truth. Honor the voices that came before us and inspire those yet to come.

Because Her Story Matters.

Join the movement. Wear your voice. Celebrate the legacy.
